Describe your personality and character: I am all about humor. I sometimes can’t be serious. I use humor to deal with pain. I am also very compassionate. I carry my emotions on my sleeve. I am a giver. I would do anything to help.
How do you think others would describe you? Sarcastic and very social. I will talk to anyone about anything. I am a pretty open person.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? It would have to be my ability to make anyone laugh. That is how I make a lot of my friends. That is my hook and sinker-make them laugh and they will always want more.
What is your favorite sport? Soccer
Describe your own athletic ability/skills: I love to play sport-I played all different sports growing up.
What is your favorite type of music? My music tastes are very scattered.
Why is this your favorite type of music? My mom would be to blame for my taste in blues and classic rock and then my friends would be to blame for all the rest!
Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I used to sing in choir.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: I love to dance! I live for music, so anything that has to do with music, I will be hooked. I also love to write short stories. I don’t know if I am any good at it, but it is something that I love to do.
What is your favorite book? A Child Called It
Why? This story made me greatly appreciate the way my family was. Reading all the horrific things that happened to him was a wake up call.
What is your favorite movie? The Notebook
Why? This movie made me really cherish the thought of wanting to be really in love and wanting someone to love me.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: I love fashion and I really like to experiment with colors. I am not a fashionista because of money, but I would love to be one! I work within my budget and make the best of it!
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
I have actually never been out of California or on a plane. I feel that my lack of travel has helped my way of appreciation for the equality and great weather. I would love to travel to Spain or Paris. Spain because of their food and music; France because of the fashion. I would love to study fashion there and make my knowledge of my passion a lot stronger.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? As a senior in high school, I took a Marine Biology class and that class was a unique learning experience in itself. We went to the beach every Monday and counted the debris to see how the weather affected our beaches. We also went on boat trips and even had to build a boat out of paper!
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I did an internship for my city’s cable station. I worked on the TV shows, working behind the camera on the teleprompter, editing rooms, and the actual cameras. After the internship was over, they had me come aboard as a reporter for their teen show.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would choose to move to a different country. I would love to have the opportunity to learn a foreign language, learn a different way of life and style of living! I love trying new food as well. Just to have that knowledge would be a huge privilege for me! |
