Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
I feel that because I grew up traveling and living all over the world, I have an advantage over other young adults my age. I have experienced a lot more and have learned more about life in other countries. Because of this, I am able to appreciate the life I do have so much more.

Have you had any unique educational experiences? I have taken a childcare course which resulted in a certificate. I also took a digital photography course which led to a digital photography certificate. I studied learning disabilities in children in university. I specialized in children with Down Syndrome and children with Autism. I now have a very fulfilling job working with children with Autism and I find it so rewarding.

Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I worked at a wildlife rehab center and really enjoyed it. I volunteered in the Avian Nursery and my main job was caring for the crow and blue jay hatchlings. I really enjoyed it and to this day, I absolutely love birds and bird watching.

If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do?
I would choose to use the money to pay for grad school. I am currently saving to go to grad school so that I can attain my master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) so that I can learn more about teaching children with Autism and further my career in this field.

Philosophies and Thoughts

What is your philosophy on life? Live life as if it was your last day. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

How did you come to have this philosophy on life?
My mom always told me to appreciate life because you never know when it will end.

What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life?
My ultimate goal is to be happy. I would love to graduate from grad school in a few years and become a wife and mother.

How do you plan on achieving this goal?
By first saving enough money for grad school and then hopefully, meeting someone wonderful and starting a family.

Why do you want to be an egg donor?
Children are a blessing and a gift. My parents have been blessed with the gift of being able to have children easily. I am the eldest of 8 children. I know I cannot wait until the day when it is my turn to become a mother and if I was in the same position as the recipient couples are, I would only hope that someone would give me the same gift I am trying to give them.

What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients?
I believe that becoming a parent means a great deal to the recipient couples; the fact that they are going through a long process such as this shows just how dedicated they are to becoming parents. I can only wish them the best in their journey.

What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think that because of the advancements of technology today we are able to provide families the gift of having a child. A gift they might have never been able to have if it wasn’t for egg donation.
