Describe your personality and character: I am very kind hearted and open minded. I am a very empathetic person and love to help others. I am an even tempered person-very calm and laid back.
How do you think others would describe you? Others would describe me as being very independent and a self starter. They would say that I am the kindest person they probably know and that I am very easy going and easy to talk to.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? My strongest trait would be my ability to self start and take the lead in everything I do. I say this because in school when we are in groups, I am always the person to be in charge of everything. This is the same at work as well.

Why? I enjoyed reading the book because it helped me to see the world in a whole new light and meaning.
What is your favorite movie? “What Makes a Family”, a Lifetime movie
Why? It’s an alternative parenting movie that was able to portray real life issues that many homosexuals deal with when becoming parents. I felt like the producer did a very good job showing this.
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
Not yet, but I would like to travel to South Africa to be able to see a different part of the world and see different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. I would love to be able to see different backgrounds and cultures, to be able to see the environment, the land, and the people who live there and the way they live.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I volunteered at a homeless shelter near Christmas time to help give out food baskets and clothing to women and their children who were less fortunate. It helped me to realize how many children are actually living in poverty. It touched my heart deeply and ever since that time, I take my kids shopping to make a holiday food/gift basket to donate to a less fortunate family so that they can have a better Christmas.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would use the funds to open up a non-profit organization to provide daycare/pre-school for children of homeless families. This way, parents would be able to go to school or find work, which will enable them to get back on their feet. The children would have somewhere safe to be taken care of during the day and would be well taken care of and fed. I would do this because I have seen first hand at different homeless shelters how many parents struggle to do better but cannot because they do not have money to send their children to a childcare facility. |
