Personal Profile
Describe your personality and character: I’m very outgoing and bubbly. I enjoy life and I enjoy being around other people who enjoy life too. I work hard to make a good life for myself. I try to laugh as much as humanly possible.
How do you think others would describe you? I think that they would say that I am very real. I’m very “this is me.” My boyfriend says that I’m very caring and warm-I guess you could say I’m maternal with my friends and loved ones. I am a bit goofy. I really enjoy laughing (as I said before) and I love to make others laugh too.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? I believe that I am very positive and cheerful. My life philosophy is that the glass is half full. When you put out good energy and love, you will get good energy and love back!
What is your favorite sport? Swimming
Describe your own athletic ability/skills: I was never hugely athletic, but that was because I’ve never been very competitive. I was very able at the sorts I was involved in as a child. I was good at basketball and I always did great at competitive swimming.
What is your favorite type of music? Alternative rock Why is this your favorite type of music? I enjoy the instruments that are used to make it. I also tend to enjoy the lyrics more than any other type of music. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I learned to read music very easily. I also was able to excel with the flute with proper practice. I was told that my hands were shaped well for the flute, so maybe that helped too.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: One of my favorite things to do is read. I was always read to as a young child and it’s one of the most relaxing things that I do on a daily basis.
What is your favorite book? Where the Heart Is Why? It was the mot heartbreaking book that I had ever read but in the end, everything ended nicely.
What is your favorite movie? Across The Universe Why? It’s just a really interesting movie. I had never seen anything like it. It’s also set to all Beatles music. It’s kind of “out there” but it’s very interesting.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: I’ve never had much artistic ability. My granny was great at drawing. My dad also does a lot of sketching for his work with cabinets. I think that I do well with pair colors and things of that nature.
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
When I was 12, my family traveled to Hawaii. I was exposed to food that I had never even heard of before that trip. The biggest thing for me was when we visited North Shore and we were able to get into the water. The current was so powerful that we had to fight our way back to onto the beach. I had never felt anything in nature that strong. It made me realize just how fragile I was as a human being.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? My family traveled a lot when I was young. We traveled to the south of Georgia a lot to learn more about plant and animal life in the swamp. In San Francisco, we visited a lot of historical sites and museums. Every vacation was an educational experience in my family.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? How could you choose? I would spend that time growing spiritually while being able to do more with volunteer and charity work that I somehow never can find the for between work and school. I would love to have more time to learn more about my faith and to find a set of religious practices that would work for me. I have always wanted to be someone’s “Big Sister” so that would be at the top of the list.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? Life is what you make it. If you enter each day with a smile, then you’re a lot more likely to leave that day with a smile. Also, hard work makes you appreciate what you earn from that hard work more than being given everything that you need. Physical labor is one of the most humbling and satisfying thing that I do during my day.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? Both my parents worked very hard for my family to have a comfortable life. I realized that I wanted to live this way for the rest of my life, so I had to work hard to earn this kind of living. I see negativity every day and nothing positive ever comes out of it so why would I take that philosophy to life when I see that it doesn’t work?
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? I want to be a great mother. I want to be everything that my mom was to me and more. I think that being a good teacher is a part of being a great mother because every day I have to love my students to that they can feel comfortable enough to learn.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? I plan on loving my children (and students) with every ounce of love that I have in me. I will try to be patient and realize that children are children and sometimes messes happen.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? Children are obviously very important in my life. I plan on having a few when that time comes along. I don’t know how I would handle not being able to have children, but I would imagine that options such as egg donation would help me to cope with it and help me achieve being able to have children.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? It’s a chance to carry and give birth to a child of their own. Adoption is a wonderful option, but carrying and giving birth is a huge part of having children. It’s a great option to help with a very sensitive issue.
What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think it’s wonderful because you know that this child has been wanted and will be cared for and loved very much.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself that we haven’t asked? I’m a loving, bubbly person who would love to help a couple or an individual bring a child into this world.
