I always set extremely high goals for myself and more often than not, I achieve them!

What is your favorite type of music? I like a variety of music but my favorites are pop, rock, oldies and country.
Why is this your favorite type of music? I am a well rounded, fun loving girl. The type of music I like depends on the mood I am in. If I am getting ready for a soccer game, a good rock and roll song will get me pumped up to play my best. If I am driving to the beach with my girlfriends, a good oldies song is great to sing along with and dance to in the car.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?  Living and studying abroad in London for three months definitely changed my life. I learned to view the world from a different country and culture. I learned that every person in the world has a different perspective and their own unique experiences. I Iearned to appreciate the differences in other people, countries and cultures. I learned the significance of history and of timeless traditions. The experience of living in London for three months was priceless.

Have you had any unique educational experiences? I believe that my college experience was unique in itself and it was also extremely valuable. I grew up in a very small town with little diversity. I chose to broaden my horizons and attend a college that was located in the heart of a major U.S. city. I loved the big city life! I loved meeting all types of people from all over the world and learning with them on a daily basis. It was refreshing that my classroom was full of people with a different background and outlook on life than my own. I learned a great deal from living and going to school in such a big and diverse city. It was fast paced and corporate, and a welcome change of pace from the small town I grew up in. I now appreciate both lifestyles and I have landed somewhere in the middle.

Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I have participated in the Race for the Cure to help raise money for breast cancer. My best friend’s mother was diagnoses with breast cancer 10 years ago and I watched her and her family go through the daily struggles and I witnessed her fight for survival. They remained so strong and optimistic and it was extremely inspirational. Her mother decided to help other women beat breast cancer just as she did. She sought out a trainer and created a work out vide especially for women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. By staying active and healthy, your chances of survival significantly increase. As a Communications major, I had a good bit of knowledge and experience with promotions and public relations, so I assisted her in promoting and selling the videos to major vendors across the nation. I am very proud to have played such a large part in her dream to help others overcome something so great.

If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I think that if I had enough funds for one year of life that I would set out to help needy children of all types. I would commit both my time and money to worthy causes. This would include adoption centers, homeless shelters, and services for abused and neglected children. As a mother, this would be very important to me. Children are precious. They deserve the best chance at life. They come into this world innocent, unbiased, and unharmed. I hate that there are children out there suffering. I would love to spend a year of my life bringing smiles to the faces of children and helping them to have a better and happier life.

Philosophies and Thoughts

What is your philosophy on life? I believe that everyone should live, laugh and love! One of my favorite quotes is: “Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you have never been hurt.” I am a very positive person and I believe that you write your own destiny. You create your own happiness and there is nothing you can’t do if you put your mind to it. You can achieve your dreams. I believe that good things come to good people. I believe that if you work hard, you are able to play hard. I cherish family and family values. I believe that you can reach any goal you set for yourself in either your career or personal life, so you should always aim high!

How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I think that growing up in a very supportive and loving family helped me to become the person I am today. Being a part of something so strong and cohesive helped me to realize what is really important in life. Things change constantly, and you have to grow, learn and adapt. The one thing that remains true is your family. Family is the most precious gift and I cherish mine. My parents live their lives reaching high and achieving their goals. Every since I was a little girl they instilled in me that I am a unique and wonderful person and I can do absolutely anything I set my mind to. They gave me the world and told me the sky was the limit. I am thankful for their endless encouragement and support and that is why I live my life in the manner that I do.

What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? At this point in my life my main goal is to attain a Master’s Degree in Business. I have a passion for learning and can’t wait to get back into the classroom. In my personal life, I want to enjoy and cherish my daughter as she grows up. Being a mother has touched my heart and I want to work hard to provide for my daughter in every way possible. I want to watch her laugh and grow and dream. I want to help her conquer the world. After all, she deserves it. I am so grateful for my own parents and the family values that they instilled in my sisters and me. My main focus is to create a happy and healthy family environment to pass along those values. I am very close to my family and I am eager and excited to grow my own immediate family with that same love and devotion to one another.

How do you plan on achieving this goal? I am already well on my way! I love my daughter endlessly and make a concentrated effort to slow down and enjoy her every giggle. I also work very hard in my job. I prioritize my life and create a plan to achieve everything on my list. I am very organized and driven. I’m competitive and ambitious and those traits help me to find a proper work/family balance.

Why do you want to be an egg donor?  I gave birth to my daughter in August 2007. She has touched my heart and my life in the most special way. I am so thankful for my beautiful baby girl. I now realize how lucky I am to be able to experience the joy of the world’s greatest gift. It has also come to my attention recently that several of my work colleagues are having fertility issues and are not able to conceive as easily as I did. Family is extremely important to me. I believe that a close and loving family breeds healthy and happy people. It saddens me that there are wonderful and giving people in the world who are not easily able to experience the joy of having a child. I am eager to assist in any way that I can. I want others to feel the intense love and bond that I feel when I look at my daughter. I want them to hear their baby cry and laugh and watch them take their first shaky steps. I want to give the gift of life.

What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? I think that egg donation to potential recipients brings a feeling of fear, excitement, and wonder. I know that these parents are so hopeful to have a child that they can’t help but be excited to get pregnant and experience the joy of pregnancy, childbirth, and then raising a child. I’m sure they have lots of questions and want to make an informed decision. I think that they are probably most of all very hopeful and eager to start their families in the healthiest and safest way possible. They are optimistic and most of all, they are so excited at the prospect of having and loving their child.

What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think that egg donation is a wonderful fertility option. There are many families whose greatest wish is to start a family. They want to get pregnant and feel their baby grow and kick inside of them. They want to give birth and hold their baby for the first time the minute they enter the world. I think that egg donation is a great gift from educated and heartfelt women.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself that we haven't asked? My work schedule is completely flexible so I am able to travel to any location at any time with not very much notice needed.
