I went to Alaska by myself and traveling there made me realize things about myself that I didn’t know and helped me to grow in so many different ways. Being in an unfamiliar place alone helped me to start a path of self-discovery and figure out what I want and where I am going in life. It was a very spiritual and fulfilling journey.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? I have not had any educational experiences that I would say were unique, but all the education that I have had has been extremely useful and exciting! I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being educated and look forward to more in the years to come.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? Volunteer work for me in general is unique because it gives me a type of satisfaction that I can’t get elsewhere. Knowing that I am helping people out of the goodness of my heart and not expecting anything inn return is a great feeling. I always try to live my life with that mind-set, knowing that that type of satisfaction is better than materialism.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? If I were given money to spend in that manner, I would choose to spend the money on medical research like developing new drugs and cures. I would want to do this because this eventually would help society in general. Different cures and drugs made in the past years have saved countless lives and will continue to do so. I wouldn’t choose anything in particular, but I would definitely want to make sure that the money would be put to good use.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? My philosophy on life is to treat people how you want to be treated, always strive to do your best, don’t live in the past, learn from mistakes, and learn something new every day. Just enjoy life in general and take it as it comes.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I have come to have that philosophy on life just living day by day and learning from mistakes. That philosophy just comes from being cognizant of what’s going on in your own life.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? My ultimate goal and ambition in life is to know that before I die, I am satisfied with the way I lived my life. I want no regrets, but to think that everything happened for a reason. In doing so, I want to finish school, have a career I love, and have a family.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? I plan on achieving my ultimate goal and ambition in life by making the right choices and following through with what I start. I live my life the best way I possibly can and by keeping in mind exactly what I want and not to give up. I know it won’t be a problem to get to that point. Happiness and satisfaction is key.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I want to become an egg donor to help people attain their ambition in life to have a child that they currently can’t. Seeing how blessed she was to even have this option made me want to be able to give the same joy to other people who deserve it.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? I think it means giving people the chance to attain their ambition in life and be able to have the privilege that they are unfortunately otherwise unable to have.
What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think it’s a wonderful idea. Science and medicine have come so far and have been able to present us with options we never thought possible. I think it’s truly a blessing.
